JOB SUMMARY

Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer II to review purchase requests and source products & materials to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. This role will be responsible for maintaining purchasing records and communicating with internal departments to ensure that procurement needs are met. This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $24.00-$28.00 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with team of buyers along with other team leads to prioritize materials requirements to ensure the production schedule is met.
• Establish vibrant vendor relationships including account/credit establishment, Soliciting bids, analyzing quotes, negotiating the best possible price and service for good and services.
• Develop purchase orders for submission suppliers to ensure competitive business and cost savings measures.
• Trace delinquent purchase orders, late deliveries, and engages supervision for solutions.
• Responsible for executing Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) purchases.
• Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrived and meet all quality requirements.
• Comply with safety and company guidelines on business ethics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Logistics, or related field.
• Valid Driver’s License and qualified MVR.
• At least 5 years of experience buying/procurement in a professional setting.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States of America.
• Proficient in the English Language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in leadership sales positions.
• Previous experience with SAP software.
